Caros Companheiros, Estamos dando início à temporada de 2005 do Programa de Intercâmbio do Lions Clube.
Este consta de uma temporada na casa de uma família e de um acampamento com jovens de todas as partes do mundo com muitas atividades incluídas. O tempo total do programa varia de país para país e de acordo com o acampamento escolhido, mas geralmente é de duas semanas no acampamento e de 2 a 3 semanas morando com uma família. As idades para cada acampamento também variam entre 16 e 21 anos, dependendo do acampamento. O período é entre julho e agosto de 2005.
Há oportunidades para muitos países: Estados Unidos (vários Estados), Canadá (inclusive Alaska) em inglês; México, Argentina e Peru (em espanhol); e muitos países europeus incluindo Portugal, Grécia, Turquia, Finlândia, Dinamarca, Noruega, etc. em línguas variadas, embora predominando o inglês.
Custos: sem entrar em detalhes, os custos são os de passagens (cerca de 1.300 dólares) e seguro de saúde, além de algum dinheiro para gastos eventuais. Alguns acampamentos requerem uma taxa, outros são de graça, mas não tenho certeza o que isto quer dizer. Se alguém se interessar, podemos nos aprofundar mais neste particular.
Como a maioria dos jovens sabe um pouquinho de inglês estou enviando a listagem de todos os acampamentos disponíveis com os pré-requisitos necessários quanto à idade e a língua oficial do acampamento. Não é necessário dominar totalmente o idioma.
Peço que divulguem essas informações para o maior número de pessoas possível dentro do Lions e mesmo fora dele.
